Empowering Orang Asli Youth through Education: PACS and Projek57 Unite for Change

In an inspiring initiative, PACS joined forces with social enterprise Projek57 to launch a new preschool, marking a significant step in supporting the Orang Asli community in Gua Musang, Kelantan. This preschool, scheduled to welcome its first group of 25 five- to six-year-olds in January 2024, aims to provide foundational education and a brighter future for young Orang Asli children.

Projek57, founded on the principles of unity and inclusivity championed by Malaysia’s founding father, Tunku Abdul Rahman, has continuously supported the Orang Asli community since 2015. By focusing on early education, this new preschool not only prepares children for primary school but also promotes hope and empowerment within the community.

The collaboration, strongly backed by PACS, reflects shared values of patriotism and a commitment to uplifting disadvantaged communities through education. PACS’ CEO, Phng Wee Kiat, expressed pride in partnering with Projek57, noting that education equality for all Malaysians is essential to fostering national unity and progress.
